A Glimpse Publishing House Book

Everything True Has Always
Been Simple

by Rob LiPuma

What dying taught one man about living. Not a lecture. Not a list. Just the quiet truths that were always there — waiting to be noticed.

Simple truths, but the kind you forget
until someone says them out loud.

Where This Book Came From

In November 2024, Rob LiPuma's heart stopped for thirty minutes. His wife Laurie — a doctor — performed CPR and kept him alive until help arrived.

When he came back, the world looked different. Not dramatic. Not mystical. Just clearer. The things that mattered had always been obvious. He'd just been too busy to see them.

This book is what he saw. Written not as advice, but as a quiet record of what becomes visible when everything else falls away.

What to Expect

This book is

Calm. Honest. Unhurried. The kind of book you pause in the middle of — not because it's slow, but because something landed.

This book is not

Preachy. Dramatic. A self-help list. There are no steps. No program. Just a man telling the truth about what he saw when he almost didn't come back.

It actually made me slow down and appreciate my family, my kids, the small everyday stuff we usually rush past. It reminded me that so much of what we stress over just… doesn't matter in the end.

— Erin Nelson, Amazon

What Readers Are Saying

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I picked it up thinking it would just be another inspirational read, but it felt way more personal and real than that. It's not preachy or dramatic. It's calm, thoughtful, and kind of strips life down to what actually matters.

Some chapters felt like quiet little wake up calls. Gentle, reflective, and grounding. Not flashy. Just real. One of those books you sit with for a while after you finish.

Reader Consensus

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

The author talks about death and illness in a very honest way, but somehow it doesn't feel heavy or depressing.

For anyone who has ever

Rushed past something that mattered. Lost someone and wished they'd said more. Wondered if the life they're living is the one they meant to build. Or just needed permission to slow down.

Not a book you rush through.
A book that asks you to stay a while.
