Name someone →Every book sold sustains the press and pays for the ones we give away. Reading one is how another gets placed — there is no separate donation, because the books are the donation.
Browse the books →Operation: Care Package is the programme a person joins to put books into the world by hand. One mission, two lives touched — a stranger you may never meet, and someone you love. It has ranks, and they mean what they say.
We send you one coded book. You take it somewhere hard hours are spent and either leave it to be found or hand it to someone directly — both count. Then you name one person you love, and they receive an audiobook in your honour. Your call sign, the name HQ issues you on enlistment, goes on the Wall.
Twenty-five books into the operation: twelve placed by hand where hard hours are spent, thirteen sent digitally to people who need them. Your name goes on the Wall as a sponsor, with a debrief showing where every one of them went.
Quartermasters fund the inventory. Station Chiefs hold whole territories. And at the top, one hundred numbered Shadow Edition volumes underwrite the entire operation — the Hundred. These open in the fall; you can read ahead now.
